Rohan Gallagher

As Managing Director, Rohan leads Jarden’s Australian industrial coverage, including Building Materials, Gaming, Steel and Infrastructure sectors. Rohan is in a unique position to leverage both his corporate and sell-side experience in providing high-quality independent and thought-provoking insights. Rohan joined Jarden after 9 successful years in the corporate world, including 4 years at Aristocrat as GM, Investor Relations & Treasury, and prior to that, Caltex (now Ampol) Australia Limited as GM Investor Relations & Strategic Projects.
During his time at Aristocrat, Rohan was ranked Australia’s #1 Investor Relations (IR) three years in a row (Peter Lee Associates), led Aristocrat’s $1.3 billion equity raising (2021) and $500m incremental term loan (2020).
As Head of Investor Relations at Caltex Australia Limited, Rohan managed Chevron’s 50% sell-down (Australia’s largest block trade at the time), Caltex’ off-market buy-back, medium-term refinance program and capital management strategic review. He was again nominated for several Investor Relations awards, was awarded Caltex’s Leadership of the Year Award and was a key member in several M&A projects.
During his earlier sell-side experience, first at BT Australia (4 years), then at Credit Suisse Australia (12 years), Rohan was consistently ranked one of Australia’s best basic industrial analysts over many years.
At Credit Suisse, he was Managing Director, Deputy Head of Research & Head of Industrial Research. leading the firm’s industrial coverage, philanthropy efforts and personally involved in several IPO’s (Multiplex, Emeco, Dyno Nobel, Boart Longyear), demergers (CSR – Rinker, Amcor-PaperlinX, Orica-Incitec Pivot), block trades (Boral-Adelaide Brighton) and on-market buy-backs (James Hardie, CSR).
Rohan is a Certified Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) and Fellow of the Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA), a former AIRA board member (2015-2021) and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, a graduate Diploma from the Financial Services Institute of Australia, and charted accountant qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
